Airbnb and Short-Term Rental Turnover Checklist

Bedrooms
- Strip all beds completely
- Inspect linens for stains and damage
- Launder sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers
- Remake beds hotel style
- Check under beds for guest belongings
- Dust nightstands, lamps and headboards
- Vacuum floors and under accessible furniture
- Reset decor and pillows to the standard
- Check and reset closet hangers
- Confirm blackout curtains work
Bathrooms
- Scrub and disinfect the toilet inside and out
- Scrub the tub, shower walls and door
- Clean the sink, counter and vanity
- Polish the mirror and all chrome
- Replace all towels with fresh sets
- Restock toilet paper to par level
- Restock soap, shampoo and conditioner
- Empty and sanitize the trash bin
- Check drains for hair and clogs
- Sweep and mop, including behind the toilet
Kitchen
- Empty the refrigerator of all guest food
- Wipe the refrigerator interior and shelves
- Clean the stovetop, oven front and microwave
- Run and empty the dishwasher
- Wash, dry and put away all dishes
- Wipe counters, backsplash and cabinet fronts
- Clean and sanitize the sink and faucet
- Restock coffee, filters and paper goods
- Check and restock dish soap and sponges
- Empty trash and replace the liner
Living areas
- Vacuum all floors and rugs
- Mop hard flooring
- Dust all surfaces and electronics
- Clean interior glass and mirrors
- Reset furniture to the standard layout
- Fluff and arrange cushions and throws
- Check remotes and replace batteries
- Confirm the WiFi card is in place
Systems and safety
- Replace smart lock batteries as needed
- Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Reset the thermostat to the standard setting
- Confirm all windows and doors lock
- Check for burnt-out bulbs and replace
- Confirm the guest book is present and clean
Before you leave
- Full inventory check against par levels
- Photograph every finished room
- Report anything low, broken or missing
- Note any damage with photos immediately
- Take all trash to the bin or curb
- Lock up and confirm the code is reset
Charged on top of the turnover rate: biohazard, vomit, smoke damage and party aftermath. The amounts are written into your agreement before we start, so it is never a conversation you are having for the first time on a checkout morning.
Included on every turnover: laundry of linens and towels, restock of consumables, an inventory report, and photo documentation of the finished unit.
